Reading the guide does not require an account. We do not collect a name, email, or profile from you just for looking around.

If you sign in

Sign-in is for saving restaurants. Depending on how you sign in, we may store:

• Email
• Name, if the provider shares it
• Profile photo URL, if the provider shares it
• Google or Apple user id

Saved restaurants are stored as slugs on your account. That is the list behindSaved.

Google sign-in

We request Google OAuth scopes openid, email, andprofile. We never receive your Google password. Google’s own policy:policies.google.com/privacy.

Magic link

Email sign-in uses a hashed token with an expiry of about 15 minutes. We do not set a password on 561 Eats.

Cookie

The session cookie is named 561_sid. It is HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax. It lasts 30 days and keeps you signed in. It is not used for ads.

Hosting

561 Eats runs on Cloudflare Pages, Functions, and D1.

We don’t sell this

We do not sell personal information. We do not build ad profiles.

561 Eats is not directed at children under 13.
